Having proclaimed myself as used to always being the last to do things, I was so oh-so-very lucky to have been the first Chips Quinn Scholar to arrive in Washington, D.C., yesterday afternoon. I was joined hours later by other Scholars hailing from the West Coast, and we scarfed down a swanky dinner with the CQ staffers, all the while complaining about the weather.
I'm looking forward to getting to know the Scholars individually. I'm open to any networking opportunities and I'm sure I'll need some virtual companions once I start my job and start not having any more fun, as Scholar Chris Vongsarath would say.
In other news, YAY for Chico State representing with three! Go former Orionites.
