I won't spend time talking about the food - it's been talked about already- but yes, diner Thursday night was very impressive. It might be too soon to write too much about the orientation, and I shouldn't assume, right? But I'm looking forward spending the next days with my fellow Chipsters and I can tell have great stories to tell.
What I did confirm this first day is the "three degree" separation rule among journalists. I haven't spoken with everyone yet, but so far I learned that two Chipsters worked or interned at some point with someone I went to college with. This is going to be a fun weekend.
