Getting my first internship seemed a little hard to take in because I wasn't sure what to expect. Working for the school paper my last two semesters of college seemed like it was just a requirement to graduate from college and wouldn't help me in the real news world. Boy was I wrong.
Judging by today's lecturers, everything my university professors taught me and that I learned while at The Orion, is important and will remain with me for the rest of my professional career.
If there is anything that will stay with me forever it is that accuracy is probably the single most important tool in journalism and that multimedia is an essential key to a better life in the news world.
