After today, I feel more confident in developing story ideas. This was something that I've been having a lot of trouble with lately. I've been at my newspaper for only four months, but I felt like I've hit a plateau. I got too comfortable covering meetings, getting press releases and doing annual event stories. It put me in this routine that did not reflect a variety of news and also made my job really boring.
Today showed me what kind of avenues I can consider when I'm thinking about what story to do next. It might not give me a story every time, but at least it'll get me thinking.
